Remarks |
The iconic and highly coveted A. Lange & Söhne First Generation Datograph, Ref. 403.035. Dressed in a 950 platinum case with a striking black dial, this remarkable timepiece is the first of the Datograph models.
This particular example is from the end of Reference 403.035’s production and has what is known as a “METERS” dial. According to scholars, approximately 75% of first generation Datographs display “METER” on the tachymeter scale, while only 25% have this “METERS” designation.
The watch features a flyback chronograph, big date display and subsidiary seconds, powered by the manual-winding Caliber L951.1. Its 39mm platinum case has an exhibition sapphire glass back, offering a view of the beautifully finished movement.
This example is in excellent condition, and is fitted on its original Lange leather strap and platinum deployant buckle. It is accompanied by its original box and guarantee dated 2009. |
