A highly desirable Breguet “Serpentine” Triple Calendar Moonphase, Ref. 3040, crafted in 18k yellow gold. It features a stunning silver-colored dial with beautiful guilloché decoration, day and month apertures, a moonphase display, blued steel Breguet hands, and a central Serpentine hand that points to the date.

Produced during the period when Breguet was owned by Chaumet, the case back of this example is stamped with French hallmarks and engraved with the Breguet serial number as well as another number, which we believe is the Chaumet stock number. Typical of 1980s production, it has a metal rotor (instead of gold) and a smooth case back without floral decoration.

Powered by self-winding Caliber 502 QS. 36mm coin-edged case. Fitted with an original 18k yellow gold Breguet tang buckle signed “GRG”. Circa 1987.
