It is powered by automatic movement Cal. RD 57, hallmarked with the Geneva Seal, and can be seen through the watch’s sapphire display back. The "Bulletin D’Observatoire" signature sitting above the printed minute track on the dial indicates that this movement was tested for accuracy at the Besançon Observatory.
